UKRTATNAFTA PLANS TO BEGIN PRODUCTION OF EURO-5 GASOLINE IN NOVEMBER 2017
Ukrainian Ukrtatnafta, the operator of the 210,000 b/d Kremenchug refinery, after purchasing and putting into operation some new equipment, plans to begin in November 2017 production of the Euro-5 gasoline.
UkrTatnafta Chief technology engineer Yury Golich stated about this on 26 September 2016 during the conference Ukraine Petroleum Market in Kiev.
"We are committed to switch to the output of the Euro-5 gasoline next year.. We’ve scheduled maintenance for September 2017 and after its completion we plan to start in November 2017 production of the Euro-5 complying gasoline,"- Golich stated.
He also added that in order the start the Euro 5 gasoline production Ukrtatnafta will acquire a new 30mn UAH (about $ 1,15mn at current exchange rate) reactor for the VGO hydrotreatment, which has to be delivered from the Czech Republic.
As it was previously reported the Kremenchug refinery produced during the first 6 months 2016 158,000t of gasoline Ron-92 (4.3% decline compared to the first half 2015), 138,900t of gasoline Ron-95 (2.3 times more than in 1H 2015), 256,300 t of diesel ( + 11.9% compared to 1H 2015), 77,500 t of jet fuel (+ 38.1%) and 162,200 t of fuel oil (-0.7%).
In March 2016 Ukrtatnafta completely switched to production of the Euro-5 environmental class diesel fuels.
