THE PORT OF ODESSA RECEIVED AZERI CRUDE FOR MOZYR REFINERY IN BELARUS
Libya registered Afromax vessel Alhani (249m) with some 626,526bls of Azeri light blend for Belarus 240,000 b/d Mozyr refinery arrived to Ukraine’s Odessa port oil terminal from Supsa, Georgia.
The ship tanks were cleared of transit crude volumes by Sunday, 22 October with the vessel leaving Odessa haven on the 23rd of October 2016.
In the past, in 2010-2011, during Belarus heated disputes with the Russian partners over the crude supplies Odessa totally received some 10.7mn bls (1.46mn t) of crude from Venezuela and Azerbaijan for Mozyr refinery. Some of the Venezuela volumes in reality were swap deliveries from Azerbaijan under the deal between Belaru Oil Company, PDVSA and Azeri Socar..
As Mozyr refinery currently prepares to restart after the scheduled maintenance with Russia again cutting availability of crude via the Transneft systems, the Odessa port operators send Azeri crude to Mozyr by rail.
