UKRTATNAFTA AND UKRTRANSNAFTA AGREED ON COOPERATION IN AZERI CRUDE IMPORTS
UkrTatNafta, the operator of the 200,000 b/d Kremenchug refinery inked the protocol of intentions with state owned Ukraine’s pipeline monopoly Ukrtransnafta on Azeri crude supplies to the refinery from the port of Odessa. In its turn, UkrTatNafta confirmed its intention to ship in the period 2017-2019 via the Ukrtransnafta pipeline systems on the route Odessa terminal/ MNT Yuzhny marine terminal, tank farm and pipeline junction - Kremenchug refinery some 26,000 b/d (1.3mn t, starting from 2017) of Azeri Light blend s and respectively increase the volumes in subsequent years.
Ukrtransnafta in its turn, as the single operator of Ukraine’s trunk oil pipeline system confirmed the technical ability and readiness to ensure the transportation of Azeri crude via the pipeline system in the above mentioned volumes.
"Ukrtransnafta" is also committed to make all necessary steps envisaged by the legislation to obtain all necessary permits and approvals from the state authorities.
The project of the crude supplies diversification for the Kremenchug refinery, the PJSC "Ukrtatnafta" implements as part of the strategic development of the production programme. The company also plans to complete the modernization of production capacities and a full transition to production of the Euro5 fuels.
