Europe’s shift towards diesel has created a complex demand and supply relationship. With a history of low refining margins in diesel, tightening product specification, more expensive low sulphur crude oil, and a growth in diesel demand more globally, Europe has had to address these imbalances by diversifying its refining capacity.
How are the current reconfigurations of refinery infrastructure accommodating EU law, crude input, market demands and a new wave of investment in diesel refining?
